April 2022:

Newsletter from Busy Things

We’d like to welcome you back from your break and into the Summer Term with our April newsletter!

This month, we’re looking forwards and back. First off, we’d like to tell you more about Busy Things’ history activities that focus on Ancient Egypt and our Bett win from last month. Then, we’re looking forward to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, and consider what the Government’s SEN overhaul could mean for schools.

Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt is a very popular topic in primary schools, especially at Key Stage 2.

In our blog, we look at some of the incredibly comprehensive and well-researched activities we have available on Busy Things.

What’s more, to give you a taster, we’ve made several activities free to play for a limited time. To see what there is, simply go to the blog and click on the hyperlinks!

Bett Award win!

It was wonderful to meet schools again at the Bett Show last month, and we were delighted to pick up a Bett Award.

Read our blog to find out more about both the show and the award, including why the judges chose our platform against stiff competition!

Queen's Platinum Jubilee

We’re sure you’re starting to make plans for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June. And to help, we’ve created some Jubilee-themed activities on Busy Things, as well as a paper-based topical pack for schools.

Find out more about what we have to offer in our blog and get ready to wave those flags!

SEN overhaul

With the Government requiring mainstream schools to become more inclusive of children with SEND and disabilities, Busy Things could become a staple in every classroom.

We’re already working with Show Me CIC to ensure that SEND users can easily identify activities that meet their needs, as explained in our blog from January, and this shift could make this initiative even more invaluable.
