Messy letters
Choose a letter from the bottom to practise. Watch Dog form the letter then use Cat to trace over the letter correctly.
Use 'Letters and their sounds settings' to select which letters are available. You can also choose between pre-cursive and cursive and individual letter forms in 'Setup's phonics settings'. The default grapheme order is Letters and Sounds but you can also choose Jolly Phonics.
N.B. This activity is best suited to young children when used on a whiteboard or tablet.
Teaching tips:
Tactile learners could try moulding play dough into letters or forming letters in paint or foam.
Pair with ‘Write now!’ for letter-writing fun with Cat and Dog or ‘Alphabet tracing’ for further letter formation practice including upper case, cursive and pre-cursive letters.
