Road blocks
Fill the hole in the road so the chicken can cross! Use the arrow buttons or drag the correct shape into place.
Look out for the monster in later levels!
Discussion points
- Can you count the sides to help you?
- Are the sides long or short?
- Can you imagine what the shapes will look like when they have been rotated?
Teaching tips:
Use this activity to practise selecting, rotating and manipulating shapes. Progress through the levels from easy to hard.
Develop children’s problem-solving skills further by challenging them to use real 3-D blocks or 2-D shapes to make a ‘road.’ Check if they are able to select and rotate shapes appropriately to make their road flat.
Use with ‘Road blocks: Which shape in which hole?’ worksheet for a complete lesson.
