Teaching tips:
'Pharaoh' is the title of the kings of Ancient Egypt. A 'dynasty' is a line of pharaohs, normally within one family. There were hundreds of pharaohs in 33 dynasties. Pharaohs were believed to be gods on earth. All pharaohs wore a false beard that symbolised their power. This applied to female pharaohs too!
Use this alongside ‘Egyptian clothing - pharaohs’ or ‘Egyptian crowns and headdresses’ to find out what elaborate garments pharaohs would have worn.
